About the Organization

The Blind Welfare Association, Amravati, is a registered charitable organization established in 1966, dedicated to the education, training, and rehabilitation of visually impaired individuals. The Association works for the physical, mental, moral, and social empowerment of the blind by providing free education, vocational training, and modern assistive technologies. Through its schools and sheltered workshop, the organization enables visually impaired students and adults to lead independent, confident, and dignified lives.

Through The Blind Welfare Association, Amravati (Maharashtra), continuous efforts are being made for the education, training, and rehabilitation of visually impaired students and adults. Education for the Visually Impaired

The Blind Welfare Association, Amravati, provides free quality education to visually impaired students using Braille learning systems, trained teachers, and modern assistive technologies. Your support helps nurture knowledge, confidence, and a brighter future.

Vocational Training & Rehabilitation

The Association runs a sheltered workshop offering skill-based training in crafts and livelihood activities for adult blind individuals. Your donation empowers them toward financial independence and dignified living.

Assistive Technology & Learning Tools

We equip visually impaired students with Braille books, computers, Braillers, and reading devices that enable independent learning. Every contribution helps bridge the gap between disability and opportunity

Care, Hostel & Daily Needs

We provide free accommodation, nutritious meals, and essential care for students and trainees. Your kindness ensures a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for those in need.

Types of Support for The Blind Welfare Association

Voluntary Work (Physical Contribution)

Participating in student activities, assisting during events, supporting mobility training, and contributing time to institutional programs.

Financial Assistance

Donations, sponsorships, scholarships, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) contributions that help sustain education, hostel care, and rehabilitation initiatives.

Material Support

Braille books, assistive devices, computers, clothes, food supplies, educational materials, and other essential items for students and trainees.

Knowledge / Skill Contribution

Teaching support, career guidance, therapy sessions, technology training, workshops, and professional expertise offered by educators and specialists.

Infrastructure / Facility Support

Providing equipment, technology, vehicles, training tools, or space to enhance learning, mobility, and vocational training facilities
